Booth Design 101: How to Stand Out Without Going Overboard

You don’t need a Vegas-level light show to have a booth that gets noticed. Smart design is about clarity, flow, and branding — not clutter. This Super 7 guide walks you through design choices that attract the right attention and invite meaningful conversations.

1. Prioritize Eye-Level Signage

Your booth name, tagline, and what you do should be clearly visible from across the aisle. Don’t make people guess — make it obvious and inviting.

2. Keep Visuals On-Brand

Match your color scheme, fonts, and vibe. Brochures, SWAG, shirts, and signage should all align with your Brand Guide for maximum recognition.

3. Use Clear Table Zones

Separate your display, merch, and sign-up areas so people know where to go and what to do. A clean, organized table feels more welcoming.

4. Add Vertical Elements

Banners, tabletop risers, and small shelving add height and catch the eye. Bonus: they help you maximize limited space without crowding.

5. Include an Interactive Element

Games, spin wheels, “choose your badge” polls, or even “Martin’s Favorite Taco” trivia — something small but fun gives people a reason to stop and engage.

6. Highlight with Light & Color

Clip-on lights or string lights make key areas pop, especially in venues with dim or uneven lighting. Use color contrast to draw the eye where you want it.

7. Place QR Codes Strategically

Put them on signs, flyers, SWAG, even your tablecloth. Link to a lead form, free resource, or contact page so people can connect with you digitally — even if you’re mid-convo.

Pro Tip:
Your booth should answer two questions in under 5 seconds:
1) What do you do?
2) Why should I care?
If your design nails that, you’re golden.
